Ivy Hills Residents’ Association - Facebook Policy

General Purpose
The Ivy Hills Resident’s Association Facebook page is intended to be a positive and safe place for the Residents of Ivy Hills to connect online with each other.  It is intended to be a place to share experiences about living in the Ivy Hills area and to discuss items of relevance to the entire neighborhood.  Some examples of our Purpose in sponsoring this page:
  • It’s a place to post notice of events that may be happening in the neighborhood or nearby.
  • It’s a place to post information such as a lost pet or notice of a road closure.
  • It’s a place to share information about a favorite new restaurant.
  • It is a place to share immediate safety concerns (always call 311 / 911 first!).
  • It’s a place for notices of neighborhood youth businesses - drink stands, lawn mowing, babysitting, etc.
  • It’s a place for a single notice describing the start-up of a local business that is of interest to residents.
It’s these types of items and so much more.  Any postings that are not in the spirit of this General Purpose and are not defined as violations in the Rules below may be subject to Admin review and removal.

IVY HILLS NEWSLETTER

The Ivy Hills Newsletter is traditionally published twice a year with two letter notificatins sent out between the newsletters.  The newsletter provides a variety of information and listings that affect Ivy Hills residents.  A listing of current Ivy Hills Board members and contact information is included.  Also included are updates to Board meetings; Crime Watch activities; status of the Greater Allisonville Community Council (GACC) and Binford Redevelopment and Growth (BRAG) programs; and other pertinent articles of interest to the neighborhood.  The newsletters are mailed to every home in Ivy Hills.  We hope to eventually defray that cost by offering electronic versions of the newsletter on this website and only mailing out to those who prefer to receive a hard copy.
