Green Waste Recycling Program

For 2018, Ivy Hills Residents' Association is continuing a new program to assist dues paying residents with "green" waste removal.  Once a month on the 1st Monday of certain months, we will be contracting with Daren Arterberry of First Choice Tree and Landscaping to travel around the neighborhood to pick up a maximum of two bundles of yard debris such as small tree limbs, shrubs, etc.  To participate in this program, the following guidelines must be me:
  • You MUST be a current year paid member of IHRA to participate in this program.  We always suggest paying yearly dues in January in order to receive the full benefits of membership throughout the remainder of the year.  Click here to pay your current yearly dues.
  • You must register monthly for bundle pick-up no later than the end of the day on the Friday before the Monday pick-up.
  • You must place your maximum of two bundles by the curb no later than 8:00 am the morning of the pick-up.  The bundles should be no larger than 2' wide x 2' high x 3' long and should be secured with twine or shall be loosely packed in a garbage can (please no other garbage should be in the container!).  No debris should be packed into a garbage bag (plastic or other), it makes collection far too difficult for our contractor.
  • No yard waste items larger than a human wrist are allowed (i.e. stumps, large tree branches, etc.),  This is so that this debris can be fed into a mulching machine and recycled into usable mulch.

Residents failing to meet with these guidelines on a consistent basis may have their right to participate in this program removed by the Board of Directors.  If you are not a member of IHRA, or would like to have more than two bundles removed in any month, please contact Daren Arterberry of First Choice Tree and Landscaping at (317) 956-7329 for pricing to remove your items or to remove more than the allotted items.
